Playa Preciosa - Just next to Playa Grande, this is a favorite of the locals because it is so beautiful. Excellent surfing conditions for wave surfing.
Three minutes away is El Caleton Beach, which is great for children of all ages and for snorkelers. Traditionally, it has very calm water. A resort team member can transport you to this beach complimentary. Food stands and souvenirs available.
If site seeing and shopping are what you are seeking, only 5 minutes away is a quaint, authentic-Dominican Republic shopping village of Rio San Juan. Ten minutes away are the shops of Cabrera and 35 minutes away is Cabarete, where there are even more local market, jewelry and souvenir shops. Cabarete is also known for its nightlife.
